colere is a Latin word with several meanings - to cultivate, inhabit, take care of, to worship - all words that require relationship. As a multi-faceted word and concept, it's a reminder of the purpose of any labor: to care for ourselves, one another and places and spaces we share.
As a studio, colere centers the practice of cultivating relational and communal power as the material of life-affirming and sustaining social infrastructure. We learn, work and play in the liminal spaces where social sector initiatives are seeded, nurtured, grown and eventually composted as the work and world ever change.

Our priority at colere is to support communities and social sector leaders in creating life-sustaining realities.
Our intention is to walk with community-in-transition to operationalize the work of their vision.
Our purpose is to provide time, space and dialogue for communal imagination in sustainable development.
We work closely with leaders to develop workshops for conferences, retreats and strategic meetings.
We can facilitate multi-stakeholder working groups for service, policy or program development, easing consensus and prioritizing inclusive engagement.
We know it is imperative to center community voices in service, program or policy development. Our approach integrates participatory methods, wisdom-sourced insight and SME contributions for richer insights.
Always happy to engage with groups wondering what could be next in the social sector. We can conduct speculative futures research to explore emerging challenges and opportunities .
For community-based organizations: Support the strategic development of your community outreach and engagement plans.
For funding institutions: Support the design of equitable grantmaking programs.
Our values guide how and with whom we share time, space, dialogue and exchange.
